China sent 50 tonnes of emergency relief supplies to Nepal on Sunday, The Kathmandu Post reports. Two Chinese military transport aircraft carried 13,200 items to Kathmandu at around 7am.
The Kathmandu Post says the supplies include tents, blankets, sleeping bags, hard tack and first-aid kits. The Chinese Embassy also said five tunnel experts had flown to flood-hit areas and four more would be sent soon.
Relief delivery is separate from the search for people trapped in hydropower tunnels. Coordinate aid through district relief committees or response agencies.
