Reporting an error
Corrections are the most useful message this project receives. Errors get corrected or removed, not quietly edited around.
Say which page, and quote the exact figure, date or sentence that is wrong.
Say what the correct information is, and where it comes from. A link to the bulletin or article is ideal.
If it is a number, say which bulletin and what time it was published. Two correct sources often disagree only because one is older.
Anything sourced to an official Nepali bulletin will be taken over what is currently on the page.
Sending a photograph
If you photographed the affected area, it can go up with your name, the date and a plain-language caption, or as "credit withheld" if you prefer. Say which you want.
The fastest way to make a photograph useful everywhere is to upload it to Wikimedia Commons yourself under a free licence. Then every newsroom and aid agency can use it, not just this site.
No photographs of the dead are published here.
Missing persons
This site does not maintain a missing-persons register and cannot search for anyone. The register that matters is the one held by Nepal Police and the ward offices. How to report someone missing explains the exact steps, including the route for foreign nationals.

Everything on this site is either sourced from a public bulletin or generated from public feeds, and the sources are listed in full on the sources page. The live feed is available as RSS at https://nepaldisasterupdatelive.nxtimaginelabs.com/feed.xml, and the underlying JSON endpoints are public.
If you want to reuse a table or figure, cite the original bulletin rather than this site. That is what it is attributed to here.
