The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology says the immediate risk of a sudden lake burst has fallen after water began flowing out naturally, Onlinekhabar reports.
Experts warn that fresh landslides could still trigger renewed flooding. This is a change from earlier reports that described the water body as a possible immediate threat.
Stay away from the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli riverbanks until local officials say it is safe.
