The Armed Police Force said Saturday morning it has now mobilised more than 4,800 personnel for search and rescue, with base camps set up across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Tanahu, Gorkha, Chitwan and both Nawalparasi districts, Onlinekhabar reports.
That is well above the 1,845 Armed Police Force personnel the Home Administration named in Friday evening's tally of all security forces working the flood. It is not clear whether the two counts are measuring the same thing, and neither the Armed Police Force nor the Home Ministry has explained the gap.
