Nepal's Flood Forecasting Division, under NDRRMA, issued a fresh high alert Friday night for communities along the Trishuli River as far as Muglin, after Chinese officials told the District Police Office in Rasuwa that water levels in the Bhote Koshi had spiked again, Nepal News reports. The Prime Minister's Office joined the warning.
Authorities urged riverbank residents, and rescue and relief workers in the area, to stay on high alert and move to safer ground immediately if conditions change. It is not confirmed whether this is linked to the barrier lake upstream that China's embassy called critical on Friday night.
If you live or work along the Trishuli down to Muglin, move away from the riverbank now and wait for officials to say it is clear.
