Authorities in India's Uttar Pradesh state have recovered seven bodies believed to have been swept downstream from Nepal's flood, district officials said Friday, AFP reports.
Four unidentified bodies were found in Maharajganj district on Thursday. "We think they have been swept into India from Nepal following flash floods there," district magistrate Gaurav Singh Sogarwal said. Three more bodies were recovered separately in Kushinagar district, about 70 kilometres further downstream.
None of the seven has been identified yet. They are not part of Nepal's own confirmed toll, since they were found across the border.
