289 confirmed dead in the Rasuwa flood as searches reach cut-off areas

Nepal Police put the confirmed toll at 289 in their 2:30pm bulletin on Thursday. It was 270 at 1:30pm and 165 that morning. The jumps are search teams reaching settlements that had been cut off since Wednesday, not new casualties happening.
Bodies have been recovered in eight districts: Chitwan 108, Nawalparasi East 74, Dhading 27, Gorkha 20, Rasuwa 17, Tanahun 16, Nawalparasi West 15 and Nuwakot 12. A district here is where a body was found, not where the person was from.
The Armed Police Force says 121 of those were recovered from the Narayani river alone by Thursday afternoon. Chitwan's mortuary has filled and an identification centre is being set up.
826 people were listed missing in the police bulletin at 8:15am. That figure is older than the toll above, so some of those people are among the 289 now confirmed dead. Police have not published a revised missing count, and this site will not estimate one.
NDRRMA reports 113 people rescued from Timure, Dhunche, Syabrubesi, Uttargaya and Bidur: 88 Nepali citizens, 11 Indian, 8 Chinese, 4 Korean and 2 American. It has published their names.
73 people are recorded as injured. Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital said on Thursday morning it was treating 31 patients from Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Gorkha and Dhading, several in intensive care, and that one had died.
