Physical Infrastructure Minister Sunil Lamsal said damage to roads and bridges is around Rs 200 billion. He called it preliminary information.
No full damage assessment exists yet. Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan are still being surveyed, and six hydropower stations are not in that figure.
The government has released Rs 1 billion to the disaster relief fund, plus Rs 10 million each to Rasuwa and Nuwakot and Rs 5 million to Dhading.
Insurers say claims will take weeks to settle because most of the damaged sites cannot be reached by road.
